WELCOME TO PAUL TOWNEND'S HOMEPAGE
A distant history

In 2011, I took it upon myself to go through several albums of old photos in order to scan them in for posterity. I remember thinking how none of the people in these photos could ever have guessed that at some point in the distant future they'd be available online for anyone in the world to view. But here a selection of them are; transient, captured moments of long ago, when the world was a different place.

As this is my website, I veered towards mostly putting online photos that feature me - a vague chronology from when I was a baby to when I was a teenager, with some other random asides thrown in. Probably not all that interesting unless you're a member of my family, but if nothing else I hope that one day after I'm gone, these photos are still tucked away in a server somewhere, a memory of what once was.
